OTTAWA, Ont. - Canada added right-hander Nick Bucci to its provisional roster for the World Baseball Classic on Thursday.

Bucci, of Sarnia, Ont., replaces Vancouver right-hander Scott Richmond, who suffered a knee injury participating in spring training drills with a Korean team.

The 23-year-old Bucci was 2-2 with a 1.99 earned-run average in six starts last year with single-A Brevard County. He helped Canada win a gold medal at the 2011 Pan Am Games.
