Jays send Dickey to the mound in three-game opener with Rays

The playoff-hopeful Toronto Blue Jays take aim at a third straight victory tonight when they begin a three-game set with the Tampa Bay Rays. Toronto heads into September 5 1/2 games out of a wild card spot and looking to win three in a row for the first time since a six-game winning streak to close July. Early Ending

The Cincinnati Reds have moved right-hander Homer Bailey to the 60-day DL, officially ending his chance to return this season. Bailey has an elbow injury described as a strained right flexor mass tendon. The Reds had initially hoped Bailey would be able to rejoin the rotation this month, but that won't happen. Full Story.

One in, One Out

The Toronto Blue Jays have resinstated right-hander Brandon Morrow from the disabled list and shut down injured infielder Brett Lawrie for the rest of the season. Morrow has been sidelined since May with an injured right finger and just finished a rehab stint in the minors. Full Story.
