Dobbie scores five goals to lead Roughnecks over Stealth

CALGARY -- Dane Dobbie scored five goals and added an assist to lift the Calgary Roughnecks over the Vancouver Stealth 15-12 in National Lacrosse League action on Saturday.

Shawn Evans had nine points on three goals and six assists, Daryl Veltman had three goals and two assists, and Jeff Shattler scored twice and helped on three more. Curtis Dickson and Mike Carnegie each added a goal for Calgary (2-2), while Scott Ranger had four assists.

Rhys Duch was Vancouver's highest scorer with three goals and two assists. Lewis Ratcliff scored twice, and Cliff Smith, Tyler Garrison, Tyler Digby, Mike Grimes, Billy Hostrawser, Nick Weiss, and Jeff Moleski each contributed with a goal apiece. Smith also added three assists for the Stealh (3-1).

Roughnecks goalie Mike Poulin turned away 28 shots, while Stealth goalie Tyler Richards made 45 saves for the loss.
