MONTREAL -- Stephan Leblanc scored four goals as Canada edged the Iroquois Nationals 12-11 on Sunday in an exhibition lacrosse game.

Jordan MacIntosh and Dan Dawson scored two each, while Ryan Benesch, Cory Vitarelli, Kevin Crowley and Jordan Hall also scored for Canada. Matt Vinc went the distance for the goaltending win.

Jeff Shattler, Johnny Powless, Roger Vyse and Vaughn Harris scored two each for the Iroquois. Tom Montour, Jeremy Thompson and Randy Staats each had one goal. Mike Thompson was in goal for half the game and Angus Goodleaf played the second half.

Vyse was set up alone in front of Vinc with 15 seconds left, and Vinc went down to stop a bounce shot to preserve Canada's lead.

It was the first meeting since Canada defeated the Iroquois 13-6 in the final of the 2011 world tournament in Prague.

The Onandaga Nation of New York State is hosting the event in 2015. Canada went 17-0 in winning the first three world indoor championships.

A youth game was played between Canada's under-17 team and an Iroquois side before the main event, with Canada winning 13-8.
