Greer has five points as Rush grab road win over Swarm

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Zack Greer had three goals and two assists Sunday as the Edmonton Rush defeated the Minnesota Swarm 14-9 in the National Lacrosse League.

Corey Small also scored a hat trick and added an assist for Edmonton (4-5). Curtis Knight had two goals and two assists, while Mark Matthews had a goal and two assists. Cory Conway, Chris Corbeil and Jeremy Thompson chipped in with a goal and an assist each.

Jarrett Toll and John LaFontaine had the other goals for the Rush, who got 35 saves from Aaron Bold. Ryan Ward had five assists.

Ryan Benesch had a big day in a losing effort for Minnesota (3-5), collecting four goals and two assists. Callum Crawford added a goal and five assists, Kiel Matisz scored and had four assists and Shayne Jackson had a goal to go along with three assists.

Corbyn Tao had the other two goals for the Swarm. Tyler Carlson gave up eight goals on 33 shots, while Evan Kirk didn't fare much better, surrendering five goals on 11 shots.
