This Week1Last Week1Indiana Pacers19-3
Have losses at Portland and Oklahoma City, but won their first showdown with the Heat, as C Roy Hibbert proved to be too much for Miami to handle in the paint.
Key Injuries: SF Danny Granger (calf).
This Week2Last Week3San Antonio Spurs17-4
C Tim Duncan has been warming up, averaging 17.1 points and 11.1 rebounds per game in the last six.
Key Injuries: None.
This Week3Last Week4Portland Trail Blazers18-4
Got off to a good start, then announced their contender status with back-to-back wins over Indiana and Oklahoma City, while PF LaMarcus Aldridge is having a career year with highs in ppg (23.2), rpg (10.0) and PER (23.2).
Key Injuries: SG C.J. McCollum (foot).
This Week4Last Week2Miami Heat16-6
Never mind the loss at Indiana, that's not a problem, but back-to-back losses to Detroit and Chicago? Maybe lack of focus for early-season games?
Key Injuries: None.
This Week5Last Week7Oklahoma City Thunder17-4
12 wins in their last 13 games, with the only loss coming at Portland. Safe to say the Thunder are back in a big way now that Russell Westbrook has hit his stride.
Key Injuries: SG Thabo Sefolosha (knee).
This Week6Last Week6Los Angeles Clippers15-8
C DeAndre Jordan has never had a season in which he's averaged 9.0 rebounds per game, yet this season he's averaging 13.0 per game. Maybe he's just grabbing missed free throws (38.5% from the line).
Key Injuries: SF Matt Barnes (eye), SG J.J. Redick (hand).
This Week7Last Week5Houston Rockets15-7
Strangely enough, C Dwight Howard hasn't been a huge part of the Rockets' offence, averaging 10.2 field goal attempts per game. The last season in which he averaged fewer was his rookie year, 2004-2005.
Key Injuries: PG Jeremy Lin (knee), C Omer Asik (thigh).
This Week8Last Week9Golden State Warriors13-10
PG Steph Curry has attempted 57 field goals in the last two games, his most ever in consecutive games and still averaged 1.33 points per shot, slightly above his season average of 1.31.
Key Injuries: SF Andre Iguodala (hamstring).
This Week9Last Week8Dallas Mavericks13-10
4-6 in their last 10 games, the Mavericks may want to cut back on the number of shots going to SG Vince Carter, who is hitting a career-low 37.6% from the field, yet is still getting 10 shots per game.
Key Injuries: C Brandan Wright (shoulder), PG Devin Harris (toe).
This Week10Last Week11Minnesota Timberwolves11-11
SG Kevin Martin got off to a great start this year, but he's slowing down, hitting 37.3% from the field in the last nine games.
Key Injuries: SF Chase Budinger (knee).
This Week11Last Week12Atlanta Hawks11-11
In a career marked by his accurate shooting stroke, SF Kyle Korver is hitting a career-best 52.7% from the field this season, including 50.0% from beyond the arc.
Key Injuries: PF Gustavo Ayon (ankle).
This Week12Last Week10Denver Nuggets13-8
9-2 in their last 11 games, the Nuggets have been getting invaluable contributions from SG Nate Robinson, who is second on the team with 11.0 points per game.
Key Injuries: SF Danilo Gallinari (knee), C JaVale McGee (leg).
This Week13Last Week16Phoenix Suns12-9
Winners of three straight, the Suns appear dead-set against being patsies as they were projected to be this year, with an over-under of 24 wins.
Key Injuries: C Emeka Okafor (neck).
This Week14Last Week15Memphis Grizzlies10-11
It's hard without Marc Gasol (Grizz are 3-5 since he got hurt) and more injuries aren't making it any easier.
Key Injuries: C Marc Gasol (knee), SG Tony Allen (hip), SF Quincy Pondexter (foot).
This Week15Last Week22Detroit Pistons10-13
A four-game winning streak preceded their current three-game losing streak, but that level of mediocrity has the Pistons starting at a playoff berth in the Eastern Conference.
Key Injuries: PG Will Bynum (hamstring).
This Week16Last Week18New Orleans Pelicans10-10
It's tough going without Anthony Davis, but the Pelicans are 2-2 since he broke his hand, but six of the next seven will be on the road, so the test is coming.
Key Injuries: PF Anthony Davis (hand).
This Week17Last Week19Washington Wizards9-11
7-4 since opening the year 2-7, the Wizards are dealing with a depleted frontcourt at the moment with Nene and Al Harrington both hurt.
Key Injuries: PF Nene (foot), SG Bradley Beal (fibula), PF Al Harrington (knee).
This Week18Last Week14Los Angeles Lakers10-11
It's true, Kobe Bryant is back in the Lakers' lineup. He's also averaged 14.5 points in two games, so he's not exactly in vintage form yet.
Key Injuries: PG Steve Nash (back), C Chris Kaman (back), G Jordan Farmar (hamstring).
This Week19Last Week17Orlando Magic7-15
Plenty of reason to like rookie SG Victor Oladipo, but three-point shooting is not one of them. He's hitting just 26.5% from three, yet is third on the Magic with 3.1 three-point attempts per game.
Key Injuries: SF Tobias Harris (ankle).
This Week20Last Week23Philadelphia 76ers7-16
The Sixers have lost eight of nine, with their only win in that span a home OT win over Orlando, but they are making the most of what they have, getting double figure scoring out of low-profile additions SG James Anderson and PG Tony Wroten.
Key Injuries: C Nerlens Noel (knee), SG Jason Richardson (knee).
This Week21Last Week30Brooklyn Nets7-14
The Nets have won back-to-back games for the first time all year, though that may be more a reflection of playing Milwaukee and Boston than merely getting a little healthier.
Key Injuries: F Andrei Kirilenko (back), SG Jason Terry (knee).
This Week22Last Week21Charlotte Bobcats10-12
Credit where it's due: the Bobcats are questionable offensively, but they can defend and, in a terrible Eastern Conference, maybe that's enough to push for a playoff spot.
Key Injuries: SF Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (hand).
This Week23Last Week27Cleveland Cavaliers8-13
Some signs of progress from the Cavs, who have won four of five as C Andrew Bynum has given them some regular run, averaging 15.0 ppg and 8.8 rpg in those five games.
Key Injuries: None.
This Week24Last Week24Boston Celtics10-14
6-4 in their last 10 games, the Celtics probably didn't anticipate SG Jordan Crawford being such a difference-maker. His PER of 19.6 is best on the team and five points higher than his previous career best.
Key Injuries: PG Rajon Rondo (knee), PF Kelly Olynyk (ankle).
This Week25Last Week13Chicago Bulls8-12
With nine losses in the last 11 games, and Derrick Rose done for the year, is there any reason for the Bulls not to get into Tankapalooza 2014?
Key Injuries: PG Derrick Rose (knee), SG Jimmy Butler (toe), SF Luol Deng (calf).
This Week26Last Week26Sacramento Kings6-14
Is Rudy Gay enough to turn around the fortunes of the Kings? No, but maybe Gay and Derrick Williams will give Sacramento a more potent frontcourt to support DeMarcus Cousins.
Key Injuries: None.
This Week27Last Week25New York Knicks6-15
Three wins in the last five is a little bit of progress, but their third and fourth-leading scorers (J.R. Smith and Raymond Felton) are both scoring less than one point per shot.
Key Injuries: C Tyson Chandler (fibula).
This Week28Last Week20Toronto Raptors7-13
Their only win in the last seven games came at the Lakers, on the night that a the Raptors roster was depleted following the Rudy Gay trade. Maybe it's not all a plan to get Andrew Wiggins, but it would probably be just fine if that happened, wouldn't it?
Key Injuries: PF Tyler Hansbrough (shoulder).
This Week29Last Week28Utah Jazz5-19
4-5 in their last nine games, the Jazz are clearly getting better with rookie PG Trey Burke (12.8 ppg, 4.6 apg) starting to make an impact after starting the season on the injured list.
Key Injuries: None.
This Week30Last Week29Milwaukee Bucks5-17
Second-year PF John Henson is taking advantage of his opportunity to play, averaging 11.5 ppg, 7.4 rpg and 2.1 bpg.
Key Injuries: C Larry Sanders (thumb), SF Carlos Delfino (foot), SF Caron Butler (knee), C Zaza Pachulia (foot).
