With the order now set for the first 14 picks in the 2013 NHL Draft, it's time to start dreaming up where the next crop of NHL stars will land.

TSN Scout Craig Button has already completed his first mock draft based on the results of Monday's Draft Lottery and has predicted the Colorado Avalanche will take consensus top prospect Seth Jones with the first overall pick.

"It starts with Colorado winning the lottery and with that they get Seth Jones," said Button. "If you look at a team that has the perfect fit and everything that goes with it, they need a defenceman."

Halifax Mooseheads teammates Nate MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin went second and third on Button's draft board.

Despite having Drouin ranked ahead of MacKinnon in his latest draft rankings, Button believes the Panthers will take MacKinnon second overall, with Drouin landing with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"Florida can rekindle the magic MacKinnon and Drouin have with Mackinnon and Huberdeau," said Button. "Drouin is a dynamic forward and what a fit he would be to learn from Marty St. Louis."

As for Canadian teams, Button predicted the firsts elections for Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg as well, since all three clubs missed the post-season.

The Calgary Flames take Ottawa 67's centre Sean Monahan with the sixth overall pick in Button's mock draft, landing the team a two-way impact player with its first of three first-round picks in the draft.

In keeping with recent trends, Button has the Oilers selecting a forward with their first pick. Swedish centre Elias Lindholm heads to Edmonton at seventh overall.

The Winnipeg Jets use their 13th overall pick for a legacy player, taking London Knights forward Max Domi. Max is the son of former NHL forward Tie Domi, who played for the Jets between 1992-93 and 1994-95.

"Domi is a player that is much higher in my view, he's a guy that could be like Jeff Skinner was in his draft year in terms of being ready to play in the NHL next season, that good," said Button.

Check out Craig's Draft Board for a complete look at Button's top 14 and be sure to keep tabs on his monthly Craig's List draft ranking between now and June 30.
