VAL-D'OR, Que. -- Jonathan Huberdeau scored twice as the QMJHL all-stars defeated the Russian all-stars on Wednesday in Game 2 of the Subway Super Series.

The win ties the series 1-1. Game 3 is in Guelph, Ont., on Thursday as the Russians take on the best of the Ontario Hockey League.

Nathan MacKinnon and Jonathan Drouin both had a goal and three assists for the QMJHL, while Francis Beauvillier also scored. Zachary Fucale got the start in net, making nine saves on 10 shots. Francois Brassard replaced Fucale after nearly 31 minutes of play, stopping 14 of 15 shots.

Andrei Sigarev and Vladimir Tkachev replied for the Russian all-stars. Andrei Vasilevski turned aside 27 shots.

It took Team QMJHL just 59 seconds to open the scoring. Beauvillier took control of the puck before cutting to the slot and blasting a wristshot past Vasilevski.

The Russian all-stars tied the game 1-1 with a fluky goal. Sigarev was the last player to touch a puck that took two awkward bounces before finding the back of the net.

Huberdeau and MacKinnon had a 2-on-0 breakaway early in the second. Vasilevski had no chance as Huberdeau scored his first goal of the series.

Huberdeau had his second goal off another MacKinnon feed before the end of the second to put Team QMJHL up 3-1.

In the third period, MacKinnon continued his stellar play by pouncing on his own rebound to push the QMJHL all-stars' lead to three at 5:56. Drouin picked up his third assist of the game on the play.

Tkachev responded for the Russians, putting the puck behind Brassard with a well-placed wristshot.

Drouin scored his first goal and fourth point of the night with just over four minutes left in the game.
