SAINT JOHN, N.B. -- Canada's Rachel Homan dropped her first game of the Ford Women's Curling Championship with an 8-2 loss to Switzerland on Sunday.

After cruising to wins over mistake-prone Russia and Czech Republic to open the tournament, Homan's Ottawa team ran up against a tough Swiss squad skipped by Binia Feltscher.

Switzerland and Allison Pottinger of the United States topped the standings at 3-0.

Canada dropped to 2-1 and into a tie with Russia's Anna Sidorova, Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson and South Korea's Ji-sun Kim.

The Canadians gave up four stolen points to the Swiss and shook hands after eight ends.

Canada doubled the Czech Republic 8-4 earlier Sunday.
