Rocque keeps perfect record at Canadian curling juniors

LIVERPOOL, N.S. -- Kelsey Rocque remains the only unbeaten women's skip at the Canadian junior curling championships.

The Alberta skip improved to 5-0 with a 7-5 victory over Saskatchewan's Kristen Streifel on Monday.

In other women's Draw 9 play, British Columbia's Kalia Van Osch defeated Northwest Territories' Carina McKay-Saturino 7-5.

New Brunswick downed Newfoundland and Labrador 9-4, Nova Scotia held off P.E.I. 9-6, Manitoba edged Northern Ontario 9-8 and Quebec cruised past Nunavat 10-4.

On the men's side, Manitoba's Braden Calvert kept his perfect record at 5-0 with a 10-5 victory against Newfoundland and Labrador's Stephen Trickett.

In the other late match, British Columbia's Cameron de Jong hammered Matthew Miller of the Northwest Territories 14-3.

Fourteen men's and 14 women's teams are competing for Canadian titles, with the winning teams earning the right to represent Canada at the World Juniors in Flims, Switzerland on Feb. 26.
