Two-time Brier Champion Jon Mead won bragging rights after being drafted first overall by Kevin Martin Thursday during The Dominion All-Star Curling Draft Show Presented by Pinty's, which saw Martin, Kevin Koe, Glenn Howard, and Jeff Stoughton pick new teammates for TSN's annual curling skins game.

The All-Star teams - featuring 16 of Canada's top men's curlers as voted by fans - will compete for $100,000 in prize money during The Dominion All-Star Curling Skins Game Presented by Pinty's on Saturday and Sunday, live on TSN from Casino Rama in Rama, ON.

"I haven't been picked first since band camp," said Jon Mead, All-Star third for Team Martin.

On behalf of Pat Simmons, who was taken with the last selection by Stoughton, $1,000 was donated to the Sandra Schmirler Foundation. The annual Sandra Schmirler Telethon will be held on February 17 as part of TSN's live coverage of the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

After having last pick in the draft, Jeff Stoughton was given the choice of picking his opponent and selected Kevin Koe - the reigning TSN skins game champion who defeated Stoughton five skins to two in last year's final.  Manitoba's Stoughton takes on Alberta's Koe in the opening draw on Saturday at 1pm et/10am pt live on TSN.

Stoughton is a three-time Brier Champion and two-time World Champion. He has won a total of $34,500 in TSN skins game prize money and will be making his fourth skins appearance. Defending TSN skins game champion Koe will be competing in his third skins event. The 2010 Brier and World Champion has pocketed a total of $51,900 in TSN skins game prize money.

The primetime draw will feature Alberta's Kevin Martin facing off against Ontario's Glenn Howard on Saturday at 9pm et/5pm pt live on TSN.

Considered one of the world's best skins players, Martin's impressive resume includes being an Olympic gold and silver medallist, World Champion, and four-time Brier Champion. With five skins titles, Martin is the leading money earner in TSN skins game history with $418,850 in winnings. Reigning World Champion Howard is coming off a banner season after being crowned Brier Champion and earning his fourth World title. Howard's career TSN skins game earnings total $169,900.

The winners of the opening round draws advance to the final on Sunday at 1pm et/10am pt live on TSN. All draws from The Dominion All-Star Curling Skins Game Presented by Pinty's will be available live on TSN Mobile TV and on-demand at following the live television broadcast.

TSN's esteemed curling broadcast team will call the action from Casino Rama, with Vic Rauter handling play-by-play duties alongside analysts Russ Howard and Linda Moore.

The Dominion All-Star Curling Skins Game Presented by Pinty's uses a single-elimination format whereby anything can happen, as the winner is decided by total prize money and not total points.  A total cash purse of $100,000 is available to be won over the two-day event.

Created and operated by TSN Events, The Dominion All-Star Curling Skins Game Presented by Pinty's is the premier special event on the curling calendar.  The curling skins game on TSN has been a fan and industry favourite for the past 24 years.
