Canada's top female curlers head to Charlottetown, PEI for a chance to capture the national championship at the 2011 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, beginning Saturday on TSN and TSN2.
Three-time defending champion Jennifer Jones will lead Team Canada against a battle of rookie and veteran contenders, including B.C.'s Kelly Scott, hometown favourite Suzanne Birt, and 2010 Canadian Junior Champion Rachel Homan from Ontario. The tournament's most highly anticipated showdown pits Jones against Manitoba's Cathy Overton-Clapham, former teammates and current rivals, airing live on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
TSN's acclaimed curling broadcast team is on hand for afternoon and evening draws with Vic Rauter calling the action alongside Olympic gold medallist Linda Moore and two-time Brier Champion and Olympic gold medallist, Russ Howard. Three-time Tournament of Hearts winner Cathy Gauthier and Bryan Mudryk will provide analysis of the morning draws.
