I made the following comment on my Twitter account (@MattDuniganTSN) earlier this year: CFL East is Flush w/Grizzled Veteran QB's Calvillo, Ray, Pierce & now Burris. CFL West Young Guns, Lulay, Durant, Tate & Jyles! #Chunkit!!!
I want to add some meat to that statement through some numbers that our CFL on TSN statistician Jon Perlberg gathered for me.
Here are the numbers and there are some incredible discrepancies!!!

All in all, the starting QB's in the East have combined for 502 more regular season starts, 28 more playoff starts, 10 more Grey Cup starts, and five more Grey Cup wins than the starters in the West!
Now here's a bit more to chew on! Stampeders back-up Kevin Glenn has 125 career regular season starts and eight career playoff starts, which are both more than the four starting QB's in the West combined! Now that's crazy!
Perlberg is money and so are these comparisons. I'm really looking forward to how things play out in 2012 starting with this Friday night.
Ready Break!!!
