LAVAL, Que. -- The Laval Rouge et Or proved why they're the second-ranked football team in Canadian university football on Sunday.
Alex Skinner completed 17 of 26 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns as Laval rolled past the Sherbrooke Vert et Or 38-3 in CIS action.
Skinner connected with Julian Bailey four times for 62 yards and a TD on the Rouge et Or's (7-0) final scoring play of the game. Pascal Lochard rushed for 33 yards and a touchdown, while Antony Auclair caught a TD pass.
Boris Bede kicked a field goal, two rouge points and three converts for Laval. Twelve of the Rouge et Or's first 13 points came from safeties.
Maxime St-Onge scored Sherbrooke's (2-5) lone points on a 16-yard field goal.
