CIS Football: Paquette kicks Bishop's past No. 8 Sherbrooke

LENNOXVILLE, Que. - Mat Paquette made a 23-yard field goal with 2:45 left in the fourth quarter as the Bishop's Gaiters upset the No. 8 Sherbrooke Vert-et-Or 28-27 on Sunday in Canadian university football action.

Quarterback Jordan Heather completed 26-of-37 pass attempts for 387 yards and three touchdowns to lead Bishop's to victory at its season opener.

Paquette made two of three field goals and three conversions for nine points.

Wide receiver Alexander Fox caught two of those TDs on a 133-yard performance, while Geoff Coventry caught the other touchdown on a 142-yard game.

QB Jeremi Roch threw for 360 yards, three TDs and two interceptions for Sherbrooke (0-1). Alexandre Piche caught two touchdowns on 48 yards receiving.
