Gustavsen scores to send 67's past Battalion

NORTH BAY, Ont. -- Brett Gustavsen scored in the third period to lift the Ottawa 67's past the North Bay Battalion 4-3 in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

Gustavsen's goal followed singles by Ryan Van Stralen, Dante Salituro and Travis Konecny for Ottawa (10-13-2), while Philippe Trudeau stopped 38 shots.

Jamie Lewis and Brenden Miller scored just over a minute apart early in the third to give North Bay (12-13-1) a 3-2 lead before Konecny tied the game and Gustavsen won it for the 67's.

Ben Thomson also scored for the Battalion and Jake Smith allowed all four goals on 15 shots.

ICEDOGS 4 KNIGHTS 1

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. -- The IceDogs scores three goals in the second period to cruise past London.

Billy Jenkins, Anthony DiFruscia, Brendan Perlini and Eric Ming each scored for Niagara (7-16-4).

Nikita Zadorov scored the lone goal for the Knights (17-6-2) in the second.

Brent Moran finished with 27 saves for Niagara, while Anthony Stolarz stopped 32 shots in London's net.

PETES 3 BULLS 1

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. -- The Petes' offence overwhelmed Belleville en route to a win.

Nick Ritchie, Stephen Pierog and Michael Clarke each scored for Peterborough (11-13-3), which outshot the Bulls 16-5 in the third period.

Remi Elie had the only goal for the Bulls (6-17-4).

Petes goalie Michael Giugovaz stopped 23 shots, while at the other end Braydon Banitsiotis tried to keep Belleville in the game with 38 saves.

OTTERS 6 STORM 4

ERIE, Pa. -- The Otters won after holding off a four-goal rally by Guelph in the third period.

Dane Fox scored twice for Erie (21-4-1), while Spencer Abraham, Dylan Strome, Michael Curtis and Connor McDavid each added a single. The win gives the Otters a two-point lead on the Storm atop the Midwest Division.

Matt Finn, Jason Dickinson, Ryan Horvat and Brody Milne replied for the Storm (19-5-3) during the seven-goal third period.

Otters goaltender Devin Williams stopped 31 shots. In the Storm net, Justin Nichols was pulled after giving up three goals on 27 shots. He was replaced by Matthew Mancina, who allowed another three goals on just nine shots.
