OHL: Goodrow scores two as Battalion beat 67's

OTTAWA -- Barclay Goodrow had a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as the North Bay Battalion defeated the Ottawa 67's 4-3 Sunday in the day's lone Ontario Hockey League game.

Vincent Praplan and Matt MacLeod also scored for North Bay (2-1-0).

Travis Konecny had a pair of goals for Ottawa (1-1-0). Connor Brown also scored.

Jake Smith made 24 saves for the Battalion. Jacob Blair stopped 21 shots for the 67's.

Goodrow opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 17:17 of the first period.

Praplan made it 2-0 on the power play at 7:07 of the second period.

Konecny scored less than two minutes later on the power play, then scored even strength at 15:23 to tie the game at 2-2.

MacLeod restored North Bay's lead with a power-play goal at 18:36 as the Battalion led 3-2 after 40 minutes.

Goodrow scored the game-winner 1:08 into the third period.

Brown made it a one-goal game at 10:04 of the third, but the 67's couldn't find the game-tying goal.
