MEDICINE HAT, Alta. -- The Medicine Hat Tigers acquired goaltender Daniel Wapple from the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday in exchange for a conditional bantam draft pick in either 2015 or 2016.

The 18-year-old netminder appeared in 20 games for the Warriors last season, posting a 3.61 goals-against average and .886 save percentage.

"He is a talented young goalie with an impressive resume with a year of WHL experience," Tigers general manager and head coach Shaun Clouston said in a release.

Wapple played in the Canada Winter Games for Saskatchewan as a 15-year-old. He was selected to the first all-star team in the Saskatchewan Midget Hockey League the following year and posted a league-best save percentage of .929.
