Bell scores in OT, Rockets force Game 7 with Thunderbirds

KENT, Wash. -- Myles Bell scored 10:39 into overtime to keep the Kelowna Rockets alive in the best-of-seven WHL opening round playoff. Bell's fourth goal of the post-season gave the Rockets a 4-3 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds on Tuesday, to even the series at 3-3 with Game 7 in Kelowna on Wednesday.

Seattle had taken a 3-0 series lead with three straight overtime wins to begin the series.

The teams combined for six goals in the first period, with Cody Fowlie opening the scoring for Kelowna only 22 seconds into the game.

Seattle then took charge, scoring on three of its first four shots, with goals from Connor Sanvido, Adam Kambietz and Luke Lockhart.

The Rockets came back to tie the game 3-3 on Tyrell Goulbourne's first goal of the playoffs and Fowlie's second of the game.

Seattle took the first penalty of the game late in the second period, a checking to the head major against Justin Hickman that put Kelowna on a five-minute power play.

The Rockets couldn't score on their only power play of the game.

Seattle came up empty on two power play opportunities in the third period to drop to 0-24 with the man advantage in the series.

Brandon Glover made 55 saves for Seattle, and Jordan Cooke stopped 40 shots for Kelowna.
