Danny Flynn has been removed as head coach of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's Moncton Wildcats.

He will transition on a full-time basis into the role of Director, Hockey Operations for the team.

The Wildcats finished second in the QMJHL's Maritimes Division in 2012-13 with a 42-23-2-1 record.

The team was eliminated from the playoffs on Friday, losing their best-of-seven series to the 11th-seed Victoriaville Tigres in five games.
