TSN Scout Craig Button's latest draft ranking have a different look near the top for the first time this season.
After sitting second overall all season long on Button's list, Nate MacKinnon of the Halifax Mooseheads has dropped to third in the March ranking. MacKinnon, who hasn't played a game since February 8 due to an MCL injury, has been a favourite to be one of the first two picks in the 2013 NHL Draft.
MacKinnon's Mooseheads teammate Jonathan Drouin slid up two places and into MacKinnon's spot.
Seth Jones of the WHL's Portland Winterhawks remains at the top of Button's list with 49 points and a plus-37 rating in 56 games this season.
Tappara forward Sasha Barkov and Russian winger Valeri Nichushkin round out the Top 5.
Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds defenceman Darnell Nurse moved up three spots from ninth to sixth, while centre Sean Monahan of the Ottawa 67's fell back a spot to seventh. Brynas forward Elias Lindholm, Nikita Zadorov of the London Knights and Zachary Fucale of the Mooseheads round out the Top 10.
Alexander Wennberg of Djurgarden was one of the biggest movers this month, rising to No. 13 after being ranked 18th last month.
Josh Morrissey of the Prince Albert Raiders had the biggest drop in March, falling four spots to land at No. 15.
