Angelo Miceli had a career-high five points Saturday as the Victoriaville Tigres downed the host Shawinigan Cataractes 5-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The 18-year-old centre scored three goals and added two assists, and now has 31 goals and 72 points in 59 games to lead his club. His performance also extended his point streak to a season-best six games and includes eight goals and five assists.
Defenceman Petr Sidlik scored once and set up three more for the Tigres (27-24-8), who have won four-of-five games this season against their East Division rival, while Philippe Maillet scored a single goal.
Kris Hodge and Felix-Antoine Bergeron each had a goal and an assist for the Cataractes (14-38-7), who are now winless in five games.
Victoriaville's Brandon Whitney made 16 saves for the win as Shawinigan's Hugo Campeau took the loss after allowing five goals on 21 shots in 40 minutes of action. Marvin Cupper replaced Campeau to start the third period and stopped all eight shots he faced in relief.
The Tigres went 2 for 5 on the power play while the Catarctes scored twice on six chances with the man advantage.
The two clubs will meet once more this season when Victoriaville hosts last season's Memorial Cup champions on Mar. 10th.
Despite being 24 games under .500, the Cataractes still have a chance to make the post season as they trail the final playoff position by only six points with 10 games remaining.

At Shawinigan, Que., Maillet opened the scoring on the power play 8:04 into the first period, however Bergeron and Hodge both scored with the man advantage before the period was through to make it 2-1 for the Cataractes.
Victoriaville then scored four unanswered goals in the second period to blow the game open.
Miceli tied the game 1:45 into the period and then scored the eventual winner at 8:18.
Sidlik added the Tigres' second power-play goal of the game just 32 seconds later before Miceli added his third goal at 17:40.
Victoriaville held Shawinigan to only five shots in the final period to hold onto the victory.

At Chicoutimi, Que., Thomas Gobeil scored once and set up two more and Julio Billia made 31 saves as the Sagueneens (26-27-7) defeated Sherbrooke (17-35-7), which holds the final playoff spot despite falling to 8-20-1 on the road.

At Baie-Comeau, Que., Petr Straka and Alexandre Ranger each scored twice and Philippe Cadorette stopped 30-of-32 shots as the Drakkar (39-16-5) crushed Rimouski (38-14-8), which has dropped four of their last five games.

At Moncton, N.B., Phillip Danault scored two goals, including the winner, and had two assists while Dmitrij Jaskin had a goal and an assist as the Wildcats (37-20-1) came from behind to beat P.E.I. (33-22-3) for their third straight victory.
