The Chicoutimi Sagueneens found a way to win on Tuesday even when they were down a man.

Charles Guevremont's short-handed goal early in the third period stood as the winner as Chicoutimi edged the Victoriaville Tigres 3-2 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Guillaume Asselin's tripping penalty 10 seconds into the third gave Victoriaville a power play but despite that man advantage, Guevremont scored on Tigres goalie Brandon Whitney.

Charles Hudon had a short-handed goal for the Sagueneens (20-18-4) in the first period, while Sebastien Sylvestre added a power-play goal. Christopher Gibson made 31 saves for the win.

Philippe Maillet and Carl-Antoine Delisle scored for Victoriaville (16-19-7). Whitney stopped 17 shots.

Elsewhere in the QMJHL it was: Rouyn-Noranda 2 Drummondville 1 (OT).

Huskies 2 Voltigeurs 1 (OT)

At Rouyn-Noranda, Que., Gabriel Desjardins scored 23 seconds into overtime as the Huskies (26-13-1) edged Drummondville (23-14-3). Maxime St-Cyr had a power-play goal for Rouyn-Noranda in the first, while Olivier Archambault replied for the Voltigeurs with the extra man just two minutes later.
