The Kitchener Rangers and Sudbury Wolves completed a six-player deal on Tuesday.
The Rangers acquired left winger Josh Leivo, defenceman Frank Corrado and goaltender Joel Vienneau along with sixth and eighth round draft picks and a conditional third round pick.
Going to the Wolves are goaltender Franky Palazzese, forward Matt Schmalz and Cory Genovese as well as the Rangers fourth, sixth and seventh round picks. The Wolves also acquired two conditional second round draft picks.
"Franky will provide us with stability in net and a chance to be a starter for our club for the next two seasons," said Wolves' GM Blaine Smith. "Cory is a big, strong physical defenceman with excellent leadership qualities. Matt is already one of the biggest forwards in the league at 6'5" and only 16 years of age. I am looking forward to watching Matt develop into a premiere forward in this league."
The OHL trade deadline is Thursday.
