The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced Wednesday that the team has signed recently-acquired defensive back Korey Banks to a contract extension through 2015.

Banks - a ten-year CFL veteran - spent the last eight seasons with B.C. He has been a CFL all-star five times, a division all-star eight times and has nabbed 37 interceptions in his career - including 27 as an eight-year starter with the Lions.

Last season, Banks tallied 46 tackles, three special teams tackles, one sack, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries.

A two-time Grey Cup winner, Banks has played in 163 regular season games and ten playoff games.
