The Winnipeg Blue Bombers updated the status of defensive tackle Bryant Turner on Saturday after he was helped off the field and given oxygen late in Thursday's game in Montreal.

"Bryant suffered sprained ligaments in his chest following a sack, resulting in him having difficulty breathing. He was taken to a Montreal hospital with the team doctor, who followed up with multiple tests within the following 15 hours.

"All tests came back negative and he is doing well. Bryant returned to Winnipeg late (Friday) evening. At this time there is no timetable for his return and he is listed as 'questionable' for (next) Saturday's game against Hamilton."

Turner also released a statement as part of the press release.
"I would like to thank Dr. Mike MacKay and our Head Athletic Therapist Alain Couture for their care throughout the last 36 hours," said Turner. "I also would like to thank all of my teammates, coaches and Blue Bomber fans for their thoughts and concern they have shown. I am feeling better and am really looking forward to getting back out there and building off of our defensive performance from the Thursday night."
