The Edmonton Eskimos middle linebacker JC Sherritt is out indefinitely after re-fracturing his left thumb last week against the Montreal Alouettes.
Sherritt initially fractured his thumb in Week 6 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He underwent successful surgery and returned to the roster after missing four games.

Despite missing time this season, Sherritt ranks third on the Eskimos in tackles and has one interception.

Sherritt led the CFL in tackles last year with 130 in 2012, en route to winning the CFL's outstanding defensive player.
