Must-See Matchups

Week 1: Toronto Argonauts at Winnipeg Blue Bombers (June 26)
Drew Willy Season Opener kicks off Willy, O'Shea era in Winnipeg

The Drew Willy and Mike O’Shea era got off to a flying start in Winnipeg with the Blue Bombers surprising the Toronto Argonauts with a 45-21 win. For his effort, Willy was named the season’s first Offensive Player of the Week while O’Shea was receiving calls from fans to run for mayor!
Week 1: Montreal Alouettes at Calgary Stampeders (June 28)
Tom Higgins Higgins makes return to sideline against former team

Tom Higgins’ return to the sidelines didn’t go as planned. Six years after coaching his last regular season game, Higgins’ Alouettes were routed 29-8 by one of his former teams, the Calgary Stampeders.
Week 1: Hamilton Tiger-Cats at Saskatchewan Roughriders (June 29)
Darian Durant and Anthony Allen Grey Cup Rematch

The Grey Cup rematch was as one-sided as the Grey Cup last November with the Roughriders rolling past the Tiger-Cats 31-10. Darian Durant and the defence once again dominated Hamilton but while last November it was Kory Sheets (now in Oakland) making highlights from his running back position, this time it was newcomer Anthony Allen.
Week 2: Ottawa Redblacks at Winnipeg Blue Bombers (July 3)
Henry Burris Ottawa's wait is over

The Redblacks gave their fans a thrill as they jumped out of the gate with some early scores. But the good feeling wouldn’t last all night as the Blue Bombers eventually overcame Ottawa for a 36-28 win. For a team that’s goal may just be competitiveness all season, it was a good start for the Redblacks and a great sight for all CFL fans to see Ottawa back in the league.
Week 4: Toronto Argonauts at Ottawa Redblacks (July 18)
TD Place Stadium Live and in person

Two weeks after watching their new favourite team on television – or perhaps making a day-long trek to Manitoba – Redblacks fans will get to see them in person, taking on the Argonauts in the team's inaugural home opener. It will also mark the Redblacks' christening of the new TD Place Stadium.
Week 5: Ottawa Redblacks at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (July 26)
Tim Hortons Field Another Grand Opening

A week after Redblacks fans open their new stadium, Tiger-Cats fans will get to do the same in Hamilton. It's been a long wait for the Ticats after spending all of last season in Guelph, but five weeks into the season they will finally have a new permanent home. For the Redblacks, it's two straight weeks suiting up in a shiny new locker room and for QB Henry Burris, a return to the place he called home the past two seasons.
Week 6: Toronto Argonauts at Montreal Alouettes (August 1)
Shea Emry Remember Me?

Shea Emry was one of the most sought after free agents on the market this winter. After six solid seasons in Montreal, Emry decided to sign with the Argonauts, and Week 6 presents his first opportunity to take on his former team wearing the Double Blue.
Week 8: Winnipeg Blue Bombers/BC Lions at Toronto Argonauts (August 12/17)
Ricky Ray Double Blue in Double Action

This is a rare one. If you're a fan of the Argonauts you'll be treated to two games in Week 9. The lone week on the CFL schedule with no teams on bye sees the Argos open the week with a Tuesday affair against the Blue Bombers before capping the week with a Sunday game against the Lions. Easing the load for the Argos is that both games are at home and they'll be coming off a bye week heading into the stretch.
Week 9: Toronto Argonauts at Edmonton Eskimos (August 23)
Chris Jones Jones welcomes former friends

Another reunion of sorts, Chris Jones will welcome his old club, the Argonauts, to town. The former Double Blue defensive coordinator will have nearly half a season under his belt by the time the Eskimos host Toronto and will want to prove he's doing well out on his own. CB Patrick Watkins, who followed Jones to Edmonton in the off-season, will also welcome former teammates.
Week 10: Bombers at Riders/Ticats at Argos/Esks at Stamps (Aug 31-Sep 1)
Ricky Ray sacked Labour Day

After some incomplete Labour Day weekend schedules in recent years, the most popular weekend on the schedule returns in full force for 2014. The Blue Bombers and Roughriders kick things off on Sunday before the return of the Argos and Ticats rivalry, and the Battle of Alberta, take place on the holiday Monday.
