Argonauts sign former Texans, Dolphins RB Slaton

Montreal Collin

The Montreal Alouettes have signed former Kansas State standout quarterback Collin Klein to a two-year deal, according to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio. Klein went undrafted in the NFL last year following his senior season with the Wildcats. He was invited to the Houston Texans' rookie camp, but was not offered a contract. Full Story.

Chequing In

The Canadian Football League announced on Wednesday that an extensive audit process has confirmed seven of eight teams were under the league's salary cap. According to a release sent by the league, the Saskatchewan Roughriders were the only team to exceed the cap. Their total salary expenditure of $4,417,975 was $17,975 over the salary cap of $4.4 million. Full Story.

The Grey Cup

The 101st Grey Cup: The Saskatchewan Roughriders captured their fourth Grey Cup in franchise history, and the first on their home field, with a 45-23 blowout of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Kory Sheets had a record-setting day, rushing for a Grey Cup record 192 yards on 19 carries, breaking the mark of 169 set by Edmonton's Johnny Bright in 1956.
