Report: Braley says he has two new offers for Argonauts

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment may not be the only hope for the Toronto Argonauts moving forward. According to a report from the Toronto Star, Argonauts owner David Braley says there are two new potential buyers for the Argonauts. Braley said he was approached by a potential buyer looking to set the Argos up as a not-for-profit organization. The second offer came in six months ago. Full Story.(Photo: The Canadian Press)

Welcome Back

Justin Hickman could be returning to the CFL. According to a report from the Hamilton Spectator, the Tiger-Cats are expected to announce they’ve re-signed DE Justin Hickman later this week. Hickman last played in the CFL with the Tiger-Cats in 2011 when he tied for the league lead in sacks. Full Story.

The Grey Cup

The 101st Grey Cup: The Saskatchewan Roughriders captured their fourth Grey Cup in franchise history, and the first on their home field, with a 45-23 blowout of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. Kory Sheets had a record-setting day, rushing for a Grey Cup record 192 yards on 19 carries, breaking the mark of 169 set by Edmonton's Johnny Bright in 1956.
