Canada advances to Four Nations final in sledge hockey

SOCHI, Russia -- Kevin Rempel scored twice for Canada in a 2-1 semifinal win over Russia at the Four Nations sledge hockey tournament on Saturday.

Rempel, from Vineland, Ont., scored late in the first period and added another goal early in the second period on the power play.

Canada will play Norway for the gold medal on Sunday while Russia will meet the Czech Republic for the bronze.

Corbin Watson of Kingsville, Ont., made 13 saves. He gave up a power-play goal to Evgeny Petrov late in the second period.

Russia outshot Canada 14-12. Canada needed a shootout to beat the Russians 4-3 in the preliminary-round finale on Thursday.
