Paul Henderson is leading the 2013 class to be named to the Order of Hockey in Canada today.

Henderson, who is best known for his iconic winning goal in Game 8 of the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union, will be joined by longtime coach Dave King and Hall of Famer Mark Messier as this year's class of the Order of Hockey.

Along with Henderson's international accolades, the 70-year-old also recorded 236 goals and 477 points across a 20-year career spent between the NHL and WHA.

King has a coaching resume that includes stops in the NHL, WHL, and university level, as well as international experience in Germany, Sweden, and Russia.

King has also guided Canadian teams at the Olympics, World Championship, and World Juniors.

Messier is a six-time Stanley Cup champion, two-time Hart Trophy winner, and 15-time NHL All-Star.

The second leading scorer all-time in the NHL with 1,887 points in 25 seasons, has represented Canada internationally at the three Canada Cups, the World Cup of Hockey, and the World Championship.
