DUNEDIN, Florida – Blue Jays infielder Munenori Kawasaki will win points with his large cult following for this: he likes Canada's chances in Sunday's men's hockey gold medal game at the Sochi Olympics.

"I think 2-1 Canada wins," said Kawasaki. "Yes. Perfect. Sounds good. Let's go Canada. O'Canada."

Kawasaki is Japanese but he does have a rooting interest in the game. His son, Issho, was born in Toronto last August.

"My son is a Canuck," he said. "He play maybe hockey when he's big, big, big maybe he'll play hockey because he's born in Canada."

"Canada win because I love Canada."
