With one week remaining in the 2013 NHL season, the Chicago Blackhawks, a source of stability throughout the season, remain the top team in the NHL Power Rankings.

That Chicago remains number one comes as no surprise after going 11 games without a regulation defeat, but it comes at a time when some non-traditional teams have made significant moves in the rankings.

For the second week in a row, for example, the Toronto Maple Leafs sit fourth in the rankings. Thanks in large part to stellar goaltending from James Reimer, the Leafs have clinched a playoff berth for the first time since 2004.

The New York Islanders have one regulation loss in the last 14 games and have moved up to 13 in the rankings this week. The Columbus Blue Jackets continue their improbable push for a playoff spot, going 9-3 in the last dozen games, and move up from 18 to 15.

Raised up to the second spot in the rankings when injuries hit a couple of other top contenders, the Montreal Canadiens have plummeted since, losing four out of five in ugly fashion, dropping to eighth spot.

It hasn't gone much better for the Minnesota Wild, who are 3-7-1 in April and fell from 13 to 17. The Dallas Stars lost four of five to put them on the brink of elimination and they've slipped from 14 to 18.

Among the rest of Canadian teams, the Ottawa Senators are ranked fifth, tied for their highest place of the season. Vancouver remains at 12; Winnipeg is up a couple spots to 20; Edmonton's skid, along with a couple of injuries, drops them to 23 and the Calgary Flames move up a couple spots to 27.
