Of the 33 non-imports on the roster, 17 of them (51.5%) were acquired via the draft.
Key Canadian Additions: OL Mark Dewit, SB Chris Bauman
Key Canadian Losses: OL Tim O'Neill, P Burke Dales
In The Pipeline: Speedy WR Spencer Armstrong, a 2009 draft choice, remains in limbo as he completes his military commitment and pursues NFL opportunities. DE Jadon Wagner and RB Matt Walter join the club this season, having finished their collegiate careers in 2011.
Potential Non-Import Starting Positions: 3 OL, 2 WR, RB, 2 DL, FS
Most Pressing Need: There are none, although non-import depth in the secondary could be a consideration, especially if Calgary ever elects to start Eric Fraser at free safety. In the big picture, the Stamps organizational depth leaves them better situated than most teams to take a redshirt junior or even an NFL-bound prospect.

Implications of Past Drafts: Much of the Stamps' impressive non-import depth is a direct result of their mid- to late round draft success. Keep a particular eye on the prospects the club lands in Rounds 4 and 5, as those picks have been particularly kind to them over the last four years. Offensive linemen Jon Gott and Steve Myddelton, linebackers Karl McCartney and Akwasi Antwi, and quarterback Brad Sinopoli were all regular active roster players last season after being selected in the fourth or fifth round. It's worth noting that the club has stockpiled four picks between those two rounds this year.
