Hamilton beats Rosberg to take Singapore pole

Lewis Hamilton has claimed pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix by out-qualifying his Mercedes teammate and title rival Nico Rosberg by a mere seven thousandths of a second on Saturday. Hamilton claimed his sixth pole of the season and it will be a critical one on a tight and twisty Marina Bay circuit which provides few passing opportunities. Full Story.(Photo: The Canadian Press)

Saying Goodbye

Ferrari president Luca Di Montezemolo will leave the company next month amid a disappointing season by the flagship Formula One team and before an imminent stock listing of merged parent company Fiat-Chrysler. Montezemolo will depart on Oct. 13 following Ferrari's 60th anniversary celebration of sales in the United States, a statement from Fiat-Chrysler said on Wednesday. Full Story.

A Good Sign

Former Formula One champion Michael Schumacher has left a Swiss hospital to continue his recovery at home. Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, says the seven-time champion from Germany has made "progress" since a skiing accident in December put him in a coma. Full Story.
