OKLAHOMA CITY -- Jonathan Cheechoo scored the go-ahead goal at 9:42 of the third period as the Oklahoma City Barons defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 4-1 in AHL action Tuesday.
The teams swapped goals in the second period, with Chris VandeVelde opening the scoring for Oklahoma City (33-23-10) at 15:35, and Kyle Hagel tying it for the Bulldogs with his first of the season at 17:56.
Brandon Davidson and Tanner House added empty net goals for the Barons in the final minute.
Yann Danis made 19 saves for Oklahoma City, and Robert Mayer turned back 24 shots for Hamilton (26-35-6).
The Barons, the Edmonton Oilers' top farm team, were 0 for 1 on the power play.
The Bulldogs, the Montreal Canadiens' top minor league affiliate, finished 0 for 4.
