GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Petr Mrazek made 32 saves for a shutout as the Grand Rapids Griffins edged the Abbotsford Heat 1-0 in American Hockey League play Saturday.
Adam Almquist scored the lone goal for Grand Rapids (26-14-4) in the final minute of the first period.
After that the Griffins' offence died and the team relied on Mrazek to survive being outshot 13-4 and 13-6 in the second and third periods, respectively.
Danny Taylor meanwhile stopped 22 shots for the Heat (23-15-7).
Both teams went scoreless on four power-play opportunities apiece.
