GLEN FALLS, N.Y. - Eddie Pasquale made 31 saves as the St. John's IceCaps bested the Adirondack Phantoms 3-2 Wednesday night in American Hockey League action.
Pasquale stopped 13 shots in the third period and picked up his fifth win of the season and third in his last five starts.
Kevin Clark scored his first goal of the season for St. John's (10-9-1), while Paul Postma and Carl Klingberg had goals as well. The IceCaps moved into a tie for first place in the Atlantic Division with the idle Manchester Monarchs.
Rob Bordson and Harry Zolnierczyk replied for Adirondack (9-9-0), while Scott Munroe stopped 23 shots in net.
St. John's scored twice more on seven power plays, including a pair of power-play goals 10 seconds apart in the third period. Postma's goal at 10:18 of the third was followed by Klingberg's eventual winner at 10:28.
After a scoreless first period, the teams traded goals in the second, with the Phantoms striking first.
